概要: Collagen is one of the proteins that compose the bones and skin of mammls and fish, and is sensitive to heating. Heatden atured collagen, called gelatin, is also widely used as a raw material for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and foods. In this study, a new extraction method was developed to increase the efficiency of gelatin extraction from hard fish scales. When the fish scales were crushed for 2min and then pocessed under vacuum at 40℃ and-30 kPa in dilute hydrochloric acid, gelatin could be extacted in 64.8% yield. This results suggest an innovative method to extract gelatin from hard tissues such as fish scales with convenient and less acid. 続きを見る

概要: In this study, we grasped the deterioration state of water-based EDLC using impedance spectroscopy and performed basic analysis for the development of online diagnostic technology, and clarified the voltage dependence and temperature dependence of impedance with respect to changes in measurement frequency. In addition, reversible and irreversible deterioration diagnosis was performed in a high temperature and overvoltage environment, and the deterioration state of the activated carbon electrode surface could be grasped. 続きを見る

概要: Inorganic nanosheet/polyurethane nanocomposite elastomers were synthesized in the form of thin films. To synthesize the composite film, layered clay mineral fluorohectorite was first exfoliated into single-layer nanosheets in N,N-dimethylformamide/water mixture added with the prepolymer, isocyanate-terminated low-molecular-weight poly(ethylene oxide). The mixture was then contacted with the solution of four-functional crosslinker molecule, triethylenetetramine, resulting in the formation of urethane bonds that crosslink the prepolymers. The obtained composite elastomer films showed largely improved mechanical property compared to the elastomer without the nanosheets. The composite elastomer film will be applicable in many fields such as dielectric elastomer generator. 続きを見る

概要: The boronic acids are significant functional groups for design of chemical sensors for sugar recognition, because they are known to form ester with diols. In this study, we report a research on responses to uncharged sweet substances using a lipid polymer membrane consisting of tetradodecylammonium bromide (TDAB) as a lipid, dioctyl phenylphosphonate (DOPP) as a plasticizer and 3-nitrophenylboronic acid (3-NPBA) as a sugar recognition site. This sensor showed positive changes in membrane potentials to uncharged sugars such as monosaccharides and sugar alcohols, while no response to disaccharides such as sucrose or sucralose. Moreover, the sensor response has a positive correlation with the concentration of boric acid (0-5%). The results revealed that the phenylboronic acid derivative could be a useful functional substance in a lipid polymer membrane of a potentiometric sweetness sensor for detecting electrically neutral sugars. 続きを見る

概要: In this study, I conducted experiments of a disaster information acquisition method using a content centric network and moving routers, and verified the usefulness of information acquisition by using moving routers and caches in the event of a natural disaster. In a field experiment using moving routers by constructing a small-scale network assuming a local natural disaster, I measured the data acquisition time of disaster information acquired from the publisher and cache. In addition, in a simulation experiment by constructing a large-scale network assuming a wide-area natural disaster, I measured the average number of hops and the average data download time. As a result, this study showed the usefulness of information acquisition in cache utilization in both field experiments and simulations. 続きを見る

This research focuses on conjunctions in information-related academic papers and student reports and describes the characteristics such as the tendency and differences in the use. In the student reports, the conjunctions of "Mata," "Shikashi," "Soshite." were often used. 概要: COVID-19 pandemic has let to introduce online courses including video course. In a video course, including online video courses. In a video course, it is difficult to predict which students cannot follow a course that provides unfamiliar knowledge. Therefore, this pilot study investigated the relationship between learning performance of unfamiliar knowledge and Japanese vocabulary ability. A total of 59 college students participated in this pilot study. After their Japanese proficiency levels were measured by their grammatical and vocabulary abilities, they took a video course about the “Structure of Brain” (as an unfamiliar topic). The students took a short pre- and post-lecture knowledge test. The results of this study revealed that students with a high level of Japanese vocabulary ability showed higher learning performance for unfamiliar knowledge delivered via the video lecture. This pilot study contributes to predicting students’ online learning performance based on student properties. 続きを見る

概要: This paper summarizes several robot programming approaches and presents a direct teaching method for robot programming of manipulators. A human operator wearing a head-mounted display and hand-held controllers manipulates a spherical marker in the computational space to determine a desired position of the manipulator. A depth camera attached to the manipulator acquires a point cloud of the surroundings of the manipulator to construct the scanned map in the computational space. The desired posture of the manipulator can be found by solving an inverse kinematics problem. 続きを見る
